The Town of Cut Knife requests your cooperation during the snow season.
In the event of an accumulative snowfall, the following snow clearing procedures are observed:
First cleared: Broad St., Dion Ave., Railway Ave., West Grid Road.
Second cleared: School bus route on Arthur St.
Third cleared: Business areas Hill Ave., Steele St.
Fourth cleared: Residential areas, starting on one side of town on the first snowfall and the other side on the second snowfall, and alternating thusly, with each snowfall.
Fifth cleared: Alleys used for driveways at the back of homes will be cleared next, and all others after that.
REMINDERS:
- Please, DO NOT push snow out of your yard/driveway onto the street.
- Please remove your trash/recycle roll-out bins from the street after pickup.
- Please do not leave vehicles parked on the street if you have off-street parking available. Vehicles left parked on the street, and consequently snowed in by the plough, will not be dug out by the Town.
- Roadways and alleys are cleared of snow for safety reasons. Ploughing ensures that streets can be travelled safely, and vehicles can pass each other with ease. Snow removal also ensures that adequate and controlled drainage occurs when the weather warms.
—PLEASE NOTE: It is the property owner’s responsibility to clear the ridge of snow left by the plough at the end of your driveway. When time permits, the Town will often try to take care of this for you, but they are not required to do so.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding this matter please contact the Town Office at (306) 398-2363.
As per approval of November 14, 2023 Minutes 225-2023: THAT complaints need to be done in writing, include the name of complainant and submitted to the office.
