Mary Ramsay is a dedicated fitness enthusiast. At 20-plus years, she is the longest serving Board Member of the Saskatchewan Senior Fitness Association, Rivers West District for Sport Culture and Recreation. A tireless organizer and participant, Mary has also volunteered with a wide variety of sports clubs over the years in many different capacities.
- She’s been designer and seamstress for the local figure skating club, as well as their Carnival organizer.
- She’s organized the local Hockey Draft Fundraiser, which included serving meals for up to 100 participants.
- She was instrumental in converting the former Co-op Grocery Store to the current Cut Knife Country Lanes. Beginning with the renovations 21 years ago, Mary continues to support the bowling alley today. She is an avid bowler and has competed at the local, provincial, and national levels.
Mary has also had long term volunteer commitments with Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church, the Wardenville Rural School Community and their history book, “Time Marches On,” the Horned Hereford Association and the Horned Heifer Tour, and the Unity Music Festival Association.
