My name is Gwenn Kaye. My husband Roger and I own a retail business in Cut Knife and I also work at the Cut Knife Health Complex. I have served two terms as Mayor, and through the years, have received my certificate in Municipal Governance.
Our Council has been very busy upgrading the Town’s infrastructure, including the new reverse-osmosis water system. We are moving forward with drainage work which, when complete, will allow us to proceed with street maintenance and sidewalk repair. We have moved forward with tax enforcement.
We have welcomed the Agricorp Pea Processing Plant to Cut Knife, and are looking forward to having Hyde Investments open a medical cannabis grow operation in the former elementary school. This all means jobs for our community.
I feel it is very important to have a good working relationship with the rural municipality, and to date, we have put into place cost share agreements for a number of community facilities.
Thank you for your past support, and I would really appreciate the opportunity to serve another term.
